Chris Allen has been working with green wood for over 10 years progressing from hobbyist to making and teaching full time under the banner of Oneday Woodcraft.
Focussing on ‘simple’ hand tool methods, Chris carves and turns wooden eating wares and useful items with a strong emphasis on function to sell at shows and markets. His passion for minimising powered tool input in his process is quickly evident when talking with him about his craft and he shares his experience regularly with students on courses.
Understanding and respecting the natural resources we have available to us are key to Chris’s ethos, as is responsibly sourcing and using raw materials.
Writing for The Bushcraft Journal is Chris’s first foray into writing but shares frequently on social media and has a YouTube channel.
